Health Hiccups...Still in Hilo
In what I believe to be an ancestrally charged turn of events, I have been guided to stay in Hilo to focus on my health.
Throughout my life, I have had high cholesterol and triglycerides. I always thought it was my propensity for delicious food (ex: sugar and salt). However, even after big diet changes, I noticed these numbers were consistently high. I got an advanced lipid panel and started working with heart health nutritionist Michelle Routhenstein of Entirely Nourished.
In mid-January, Michelle mentioned that I might have a genetic disorder that causes me to have high cholesterol and triglycerides in my bloodstream: familial hypercholesteremia or familial hypertriglyceridemia. I started working with a cardiologist here in Hilo to learn more, and the Family Heart Foundation connected me with a geneticist and lipid specialist in Seattle. I’m on track to get a solid diagnosis
I feel so held by my ancestors because I feel they didn’t want me to leave Hawai’i without knowing about my health. Usually, people with this disorder get help in childhood because their family knows to watch out for it. Being adopted, I haven’t had that luxury, so it is like they made sure I addressed this while they had me on their land.
We all have unexpected twists and turns in our lives, and I wouldn’t have been able to get through this without leaning on my ancestors and using my energy work skills.
I am grateful this experience doesn’t impede me from doing the work I love to do! I am available for sessions to support you with energy and ancestral healing.
