Kimiko Kawabori, MPA (Hilo, HI, USA) has lived the complexities of disconnection from biological family, language, and land. Adopted by third-generation Japanese Americans, Kimiko was born in Hawai’i and raised in Seattle. Kimiko is an Ancestral Healing practitioner passionate about helping adoptees and others find cultural connections, authentic belonging, and unconditional support from the Earth and ancestors.
My journey started in search of healing
Growing up as an adoptee, I was always on the quest to find something - but I could never put it into words. And, combined with inner turmoil due to my ability to see energies and spirits, I was overcome with anxiety, anger, and confusion.
In my pursuit of healing techniques, I took classes at Intuitive Mind and learned how to embrace my multidimensional gifts. This opened the door to the ancestor realm and eventually led me to Dr. Daniel Foor’s Ancestral Medicine approach to working with ancestors.
Helping others on their healing journey
Because of my education and personal experience with Ancestral Healing and Energetic Insights, I know the depth of healing that can come from using my gifts and using these techniques. Exploring and connecting to the bigger forces, spiritual and mundane, that I am a part of has resulted in deep healing and empowered me to be able to help others on their healing journey.
Whether I am channeling messages in my Energetic Insights healing work as an intuitive healer or guiding and facilitating scared space in Ancestral Healing sessions, I am honored to be trusted to hold space for people to connect to their origins and themselves.
Embracing greater connections
I was born in Hawai’i and was adopted by third-generation Japanese Americans and raised in Seattle, WA. The pain of being separated from Hawai’i, my birth land and culture, has always been a deep wound. Through Ancestral Healing and Energetic Insights, I worked through blocks and perspectives that clouded my ability to embrace the full spectrum of love, support, and connection to culture available to me.
Now that I have healed all 8 of my lines (4 biological and 4 adopted), I have a broad sense of familial support and love that I never thought I could experience as an adoptee that supports me as I continue on my healing journey. I am so happy I trusted myself to explore energy and the ancestors. Because of this support, I will never be alone.
